Swanstone CV02225.010 White Solid Surface Vanity Top - 25" Single Bowl Bathroom Sink with Contour Design | Perfect for Modern Bathroom Renovation & Small Space Vanities

When our bathroom vanity arrived the trucking company driver could not have been nicer. He wheeled it to my garage and there wasn't a blemish on the very large shipping carton. When we opened the carton the vanity top looked in great shape other than being a little dusty. The next day we took it out of the box and noticed some imperfections along the front and side edges...clearly it was a manufacturing issue. I got in touch with Bath1 Customer Service and asked me to send pictures of the vanity top and shipping carton. In a couple of hours our concerns were addressed and resolved...painlessly and we couldn't be more pleased. I would be remiss if I didn't give a special shout out to Stephanie in Customer Service.We have Swanstone products in our house up north & our winter home in the south. The products are made with high standards & made to last. Our shower surround is almost 20 yrs old & still looks great. My kitchen sinks are fabulous & work horses. I just ordered a counter top with built in sink & it arrived promptly & the color is great, we will be installing within the next week.For a solid-surface molded sink, the outer surface is perfect. The color is only slightly different than what appears online, but that can always be a function of the computer screen settings. It's not enough different to be upset about. Swanstone will send you samples before you buy if you order them, so do that and check your room lighting against the sample first (like MOST people do...)The countertop underside, however has extrusions from the molding process that are not readily apparent in the photos or samples, and is not to the quality level of DuPont Corian or other higher end solid surface products. This means that you probably will not have a consistent joint when mounting it to a vanity if you are not centering it on the vanity itself (like our application where the left side and back of the sink mount against the wall, so it has a longer lip on the right side (no lip on the left so the cabinet sits flush to the wall.) Even in the front when mounted normally, the extrusions are spaced, so it doesn't sit solid on the cabinet. This isn't a major issue for me, but is something that I did not have to deal with when I have installed other vanity tops.Color was what we wanted, matte finish was not expected and much lighter and thinner than I thought I'd should be. Install was quick and simple, but extrutions on underside made securing it to vanity a bit of a challenge. Major problem came when I did the leak check, the overflow drain is not actually molded as part of the sink, it is adhered with silicone caulking, and it leaked badly. Was able to recaulk and fix it. Decent quality control at factory should have caught that before ever going in a box. Nice looking product, shoddy manufacture.first impression: arrived with five different shipping labels attached to cardboard box with no inner support for this large counter top and no information or flyer re care, install etc. i like the color shade of the sink and its design. once installed i began to notice perhaps machine markings from final stages of its manufacturing (see photo) there were three separate areas on the counter top. and it does not clean up very well from everyday stains. ie makeup, toothpaste, etc i believe i have recd a second or return from another buyer.The picture above is not accurate. Look at the attached photo in this review to see what it actually looks like. I sent back the first one they shipped and they resent the same one again so I know the picture is wrong. Also the Water overflow on the bottom of the vanity is simply caulked onto it and is very easily knocked loose (either during shipping or install) but can be fixed by re-caulking. It should be built in so not a very good design in that respect.It has marked holes on the back to be drilled out depending on what faucet you have and the material is so lightweight that you can pretty much drill through it with anything even though the best way is with a proper hole saw.Overall I like the counter top and it is super light and easy to move by yourself and work with but I don't think it is worth the $400 price tag. Unfortunately 43 inch wide bathroom countertops are not easy to find so you are kind of stuck with what you can find.I absolutely LOVE this modern counter!!! 1 small thing- it is a plastic-like material, not actual stone... which I knew, but wanted to point out to others because it does look so real. In addition, I ordered the side backsplash/ 3" trim for this counter, after I installed it. The product name is: "Swanstone VT22-SS.042 21-Inch Sidesplash for Swanstonestone Vanity Tops, Gray Granite." I had called the factory to see if I could order the exact trim from them, and they said they don't actually sell anything, they are just there for support. He told me what the part number was for the piece I needed, and I was able to find it within seconds on Amazon. It installed and matched the counter perfectly! Also, did I mention this Amazon price is about $100 LESS than they are selling in local Alaska stores!?!??! AWESOME! Can't speak higher about this gorgeous counter. Easy to install too.some blemishes on the front lip but not too noticeable (the blemishes are on the front bottom front edge, not perfectly smooth and rounded). The sink basin is large and counter flows nicely into the basin for easy cleaning. Install is a tad difficult as the bottom has ridges front to back, not flat around the edges where contact is made with the vanity, resulting in a few dabs of caulk sealant here and there.Great product and it arrived early for our renovations.
