My grandkids sorted their craft supplies into the different bins. I was surprised to see how many crayons, colored pencils and other craft supplies fit in each bin.Very close to what I wanted.Pros:* Nice size drawers, and the right number of each;* Sturdy enough for office supplies;* Rolls easily, and locks;* The drawer slides on my unit have enough clearance to slide but not so much play that the drawers fell downward out of their tracks, as happened for other users. I can push down inside the drawers and but they won't pop out. Pay attention to the washer orientation when you assemble, as others have noted. It's important.* "Soft" polypropylene drawer. I didn't want that stiff acrylic-like material that cracks and scratches easily. I wanted the sorta flexible, translucent material used in the standard plastic "shoebox" you can buy for storing items. I looked everywhere trying to figure out what the material felt like. Also, it's translucent but not matte. There. That's for you, my fellow OCDians.Cons:* This is the biggie. Even though there is enough clearance between the drawers and their metal channels to slide easily, the channels have a sharp edge on the forward side, so that every time you push a drawer back in, the bottom catches. Probably shaving off little bits of the drawer each time. Super irritating. You have to wiggle the drawer when it catches to keep pushing inward. Errr. I tried putting some soap in the channel, but no joy. It's the sharpness that's the issue for sure. The only solution is to lift UP the drawer by the knob as you push it closed. Then the drawer bottom can't catch. I would knock off two stars for this irritant but added one star back for the price, which even the Queen of Carp can't carp about much. I would have paid an extra $20 for better slides, though.* The top metal shelf is on the flimsy side. It's fine for a small scanner and some paper inboxes, but expect it to bow downward. Not a huge issue unless you plan on putting your vintage 30 lb iMac on it. Bad, bad idea.* I wouldn't call the frame "sturdy." More like adequate. There's a little wiggle to it, but for office supplies/lightweight items, not a big deal.Pretty good for what it is, at this price. Y'all stay organized out there.UPDATE:So I've had these drawers for a few weeks and am still pleased...except for those stupid metal channels shaving off the bottom of the runners of the plastic drawers. One drawer already has a catch in it because of this design flaw. Here is an inelegant but workable solution: get some electrical tape or other slick tape and use a small amount to wrap around the front edge of the metal channel. In my case, I had some scraps of those adhesive labels you get with a Brother label-maker. I've always hated that Brother designed them to have waste for each label you make. Heh, now I found a good use for those scraps. I wrapped the front edge of each bottom of the metal drawer channels, and now the drawers slide much more smoothly. I also wrapped the vertical part of the channel on one glide. Hope this helps someone.UP DATE:The frame of the cart has slowly deformed, bowing out so that now the drawers drop out of the slides. For this, I would lower my rating to only three stars if I could.I am also going to try to bring the frame back to true and will update the review with my progress.Original Review:I bought this organizer cart to organize the family legos (we have about 50 pounds of legos). This cart is working perfectly for its purpose. That is why I have given it 4 stars. Below is a more detailed review.Looks - I like the way it looks, very neat. A lot more attractive then the all-plastic drawer units from Sterilite.Efficiency - love it. This unit packs a lot of storage into a very small footprint.Quality - pretty good for $100 dollars, but this is not a piece of heirloom furniture. Not hard to put together. Everything fits, the drawers slide easily and are designed with a "stop" so that when you are putting them back you can't accidentally push them all the way through the frame. I have loaded the drawers with Lego bricks and small toys, like matchbox cars, and so far no problems. In comparison, I have a similar piece from Ikea with plastic boxes as drawers and a wood frame (Trofast). In the Ikea piece if you put anything with any real weight into the drawers, for instance, the matchbox cars, they deform slightly and pop out of the wooden frame, and then twist and bind. Very frustrating for my little boy.On the other hand, the cart is quite lightly built. It won't take a lot of abuse and does not really give you a work surface. The frame is made of very thin steel pipes, screwed together, and the steel top is also very lightweight -- it is perforated, for some reason, too. So don't plan on putting a microwave on this thing. I have used it to assemble a lego model -- that it can handle, but not much more. I don't expect it to last a lifetime, either. The frame is not braced in any way and I expect it will begin to "rack" after a couple of years. I would not plan on putting heavy items in this cart and then rolling it around a lot.In short, whether or not I would recommend this piece depends entirely on what you are planning to store in it and how much you are planning to move it around. If you are looking for a kitchen cart that can take a lot of weight and a lot of abuse, this is not the piece for you. If you are trying to put away a large quantity of relatively light-weight craft items or toys, this unit is hard to beat for making efficient use of a small space.Mine doesn't seem to shake like others have mentioned, and it was pretty easy to assemble. Instructions were not very clear, drawings were a bit hard to understand, but I also didn't read them all the way through before beginning assembly (my bad), so I ended up leaving off the black washers, which doesn't seem to make any difference until you try to position the top and drawers. Without the washers, the frame is too narrow, keeping the top and drawers from fitting. So we took the frame apart, replaced the washers, put it back together, and then the top and drawers fit fine. However, I purchased this cart to fit under my art table, which is 32" high. A cart of 31.75" should have just about made it, with a 1/4" to spare. However, as you can see in the photo, the cart is actually 32.50" high, a full 3/4" taller than indicated, which means it doesn't fit. My husband made sure the casters were shoved all the way in, which bought us another 1/4", but still didn't do the trick. The only way I can make this work is to leave off the casters and just drag the cart out from under the table when I'm using it. Far from ideal. So now the casters are off and felt pads on the bottom are helping it slide. Otherwise I think it's a pretty nice set of drawers which I think will be very useful for my purposes.NOTE: Turns out the cart doesn’t slide so well once it’s full so I’ve put the casters back on and will try to come up with some other solution. I still really like it though. This was bought for my elderly mother-in-law, who wanted something that was sturdy, looked okay in the home enviroment and was easy to use, storing amounts of paper work. She is very happy with this purchase,....the only thing is, ....that she would like another one!Just arrived today at a fantastic price. Very quick and easy to assemble. Very sturdy and drawer colours are great (apart from the boring white one lol) would def recommendThis has been perfect to tidy up our kid’s drawing supplies. They love the bright colours and it was easy to build.quite easy to put together looks good, draws are a bit flimsy but great for the price and much better than an all plastic unitAmazing storage for my school paper work and easy to move from room to room love it
